Emergency Shelter Program in New York

Diana was a single mother with two small children. She lost her job one day and her mounting bills led her nowhere. Without any social support, she reaches the stage of eviction. Diana and her children had no place to go when they were evicted from their apartment. They were brought to the Jobin Chandi Trust for temporary accommodation, food, and clothes. At this point, Diana finds a new job and continues to build towards becoming financially stable. Today, she and her children are thriving because of the crucial support we provided when they most needed it.

Medical Support for a Young Cancer Patient in Texas

Liam was diagnosed with leukemia at ten years of age, a reality that weighed heavily emotionally and financially on the family. His parents struggled with the heart-wrenching possibility of being unable to afford any of the intensive treatments their child needed. Partnered with the local hospitals, Jobin Chandi Trust could ensure all treatments for Liam, so that his family could now dedicate their entire effort to his recovery, not concerned with the daunting medical bills. Recently Liam is seen to be in remission and has resumed normal enjoyable life with full vigor. This was due to the timely support of the Jobin Chandi Trust.

Vehicle Rehabilitation to a War Veteran in California

James is one of those persons who served the country – a war veteran from California. Due to injuries he sustained while in service, James was bedridden with extreme mobility issues. Then things got worse as after coming back to civil life, James felt very seclusive and dependent. Through offering him specialized wheelchair from the Jobin Chandi Trust, James was enabled to regain independence and return to community activities. Today, he is working very hard to support other war veterans who are disabled to pay forward the kindness and generosity he received at our organization.

Support to Homeless at Chicago

While the thick snow falls of the Chicago winters, most homeless persons get into life threatening situations. Noting this urgent requirement, Jobin Chandi Trust started a program for reaching out to people during winters, it provided them with warm clothing, blankets, and hot meals on the streets. The volunteers at the Trust were busy connecting homeless persons with temporary shelters where they could be kept safe from the freeze. It saved many to live through the winter, and it gave them hope for better days to come.

Our Programs and Impact Areas

To cater to varied needs in different corners of America, the Jobin Chandi Trust undertook a number of initiatives. Our immediate objective is to give prompt relief but, in turn, help bring a permanent change that helps elevate the masses of any given community. The list goes on in many such innumerable ways:

  • Healthcare Support-We have medical partnerships at our disposal. These health facilities provide treatment, drugs and support to people without easy access to healthcare. Most of the treatments provided can be life-saving for them and it is something that they cannot easily afford.
  • Support for the Elderly: Many elderly people live alone, feeling isolated and forgotten. We offer companionship, care, and resources to ensure they lead dignified lives. From arranging regular visits to assisting with everyday needs, our programs help seniors stay connected and feel valued.
  • Economic Relief for Families: falls into economic ruin at any moment. Even basic needs cannot be covered. We assist with economic aid in rent, food, and school supplies to put families back on their feet and on their own again.
  • Youth Development: Education is a potent change tool. Our youth programs include grant scholarships, mentorship, and educational resources to empower poor-young spirits in breaking the cycle of poverty and building a brighter future.
